Working with florals, just like any industry these days, it's important to be aware of where our product comes from and how it's treated. At Velvet Poppy, we prioritize flowers that are locally grown and ethically sourced. One of our favorite floral sources is Gather Flora which sources 100% locally! Furthermore, we do everything within our ability to maintain a balance of environmental sustainability and long lasting quality blooms. "How do you do that?" you might ask. From an outside view, you might think that flowers are flowers, but these flowers have a long life before arriving at your door! It takes a discriminating eye to choose the best blooms and filter through the sourcing options. I keep a close relationship with my vendors to get the best, freshest and when possible the most sustainably sourced flowers.
